I have 2, I consider favorite gifts. 1-Is from my hubby, who last yr, bought me a Webber grill. They're not cheap & he was able to do this without me ever catching on. This is a hard secret to keep since I take care of all the bills ;)
ReplyDelete2nd one is harder to share because I can't tell specific details. We have a puppy that's retraining my adult dog to do very bad things. I came home & Timber, my usually trustworthy male husky ate a very unreplaceable, out of print bk to a series I just started reading. He has never done this, EVER. I even had the whole incident on video tape as proof to the author. It took him 10 mins to destroy it. I contacted the author & explained what happened in hopes that I could beg for a copy to replace mine. I was offered a digital copy but no print copies were available to give. I ordered it from one of those online stores. Three days later it came looking like Timber ate it again. I was fed up & shelfed both books & started reading a different series. I thought this was a sign to move on. About a wk or 2 later that author contacted me out of the blue & offered me 1 of 2 privately owned copies from the collection. I was beside myself. I just couldn't believe that this author was willing to part w/this bk for me. The author even signed it. I wish I could tell you who this author is just to give the credit they rightfully deserve but I don't want to cause any situation from a good doing.
Oh, sorry, I forgot to include that I'm a GFC & email follower and my email address is:

Boy, I really want to read these! I don't remember having a favorite christmas. What I do remember is playing in the snow while out of school for christmas break.
