 Today is the start of the 2011 BlogFest, hosted by A Journey of Books.  Hundreds of bloggers are participating and will be offering various prizes just for stopping by.  I am giving away a $15.00 giftcard (actually I'll buy you a book up to $15.00 USD) from    This is a fun event where you can find great new-to-you blogs and possibly visit some old friends.  As a special treat and bonus, you can visit the tracking page to help you remember which blogs you've been to.  The kicker is that each blog you visit and mark off on that page will also provide you another entry into a special drawing!  So you have many, many chances to win some lovely prizes.   The rules to enter my drawing are simple:

A New RAK for April

Isalys & Vanessa over at Book Soulmates came up with the fabulous ideas to create a monthly list of bloggers and their bookish wishlists.  This makes it easy for other bloggers to do Random Acts of Kindness and make some book wishes come true!





  I decided to play along again this month.  It was fun in March as I sent out books to three different readers.  I hope they are enjoying them! My list this time is at The Book Depository.  I have one on Amazon as well, but it has a lot of the books that I list as encouragement or reference for the hubby.  (You know, so he doesn't buy me another turtleneck that I can't/won't wear :) There's plenty of time to join in the fun.  Hop on over to Book Soulmates to see what it's all about!

What an amazing hop this has turned out to be.  There were 296 people entering the drawing!  With the extra entries given for followers and subscribers, it brought the total entries to 610!
